what is an impact driver? what's it used for?

It is the type of tool you would use to remove very tight bolts, like the lug nots on your car. That being said, if you needed to ask, you most likely don't need one.

Impact driver makes it easy to remove or install tight screw. It is also less likely to slip and destroy screw head.

It is not for high torque nut or bolts such as lug nuts. For those, you need impact wrench not driver. Even if motor is strong enough, 1/4" drive is cannot handle that much torque.

Yesterday shipped, should receive it anytime. It's a great deal. I just bought 1 for $21 or something about 15days ago. I almost bought 110 for 6 from amazon to save $10-12. LED is great technology BUT life time is no so great. Inside circuit got capacitor --- capacitor still got a limited life time. Be smart to calculate --- how much you save in KWh and how much you invest in this light bulb until it's dead.

This is a great deal. Saved $190 on this one. My home uses three different sizes of filters. FYI, FPR 7 is the best for most homes unless someone has asthma in your home.

Home Depot's Special Buy of the Day is always garbage and waste of money, no exceptions while I watched them everyday - completely waste of my time and expectation. So don't be fooled by the price tag. They need to change their promotion strategy not to dump waste to consumers, like other competitors.
