People, stop worrying about the Hz! It damages components over time, this technology is from 1970's and designed for ONLY crt tv's. 60, 120, 240, 480, 960 Hz is nothing but a gimmick to get $$$$$. Buy the brandname that looks good to YOU and you're comfortable with. That's the bottom line.

I disagree. Its not really a deal if the merchandise stinks. I still think the LG LM8600 for $999 from microcenter a few weeks back is the best deal so far this year.

Passive 3D is actually surprisingly good, and doesn't hurt eyes at all. the only thing is not many GOOD 3D movies out there. So after 1 month I watched all 3D stuffs that can interest me LOL

I bought this TV at this price from Fry's (needed to pay tax for me). I have never seen price below this. I am very happy with the TV. I think it's a good deal. Would be better if you don't need to pay tax.
