We have started wearing the copy cats from Amazon since this May. Traveling to mid & southern Europe for 2 weeks >90F during the day everyday in June-July and living in the quite hot New England summer, so far we all stay without althete's feet. //@andromeda3: You won’t. It is open air sandals. Some of these are not waterproof and some are. //@anonymous: I am wondering if you wear it over 2 hours, would your feet catch fungus and never be able to get rid of it.

In Asian countries these kinda sandals are very popular considering climate and we don't pay more than $15 for this stuff with ery high quality and durability. These are unnecessarily high priced in the US.

There are so many copy cats on the market recently, for the price range between $25-35. We are wearing a few brands from Amazon and are happy so far. No sure about durability yet; time will tell. Though compared with genuine Birkenstock which usually costs $80-120, my family feels quite satisfied by the copy cats. //@Anonymous: High quality sandals with arch support. Great price.
