I have only anecdotal opinion, but I say YES. As cheap as these things have become, just buy 2 or 3 and mirror them. My biggest problem with these is storing and identifying what's on a given drive. They aren't conducive to labeling.. Ha! //@Anonymous: Is it data-safe to use this to extend the storage of an old laptop (10y old macbook air)?
