Not true, people who can afford to buy a Tesla are the same people who can afford to hire CPAs to reduce their taxable income. Buying an EV at this point is just another tax credit and business write-off. //@Anonymous: People with the money to buy model x/s would most likely beyond the tax benefit income limit :)

Replying to: 09/02/2023 11:46am By anonymous: EVERYONE is complaining about Tesla, almost no one is complaining about iPhone. What is your source for getting these "precise" statistics? There are glitches when the phone, car first came out, that's part of innovation. I have a Model X from 2016, over 100K miles. Were there minor issues, of course. Heck, even space rockets have minor issues, nothing is perfect, or ever be perfect. You can always find something to whine about. I used both Samsung Galaxy phones and iPhones, eventually gave up even trying another Samsung, or Android phones in general, but I'm not whining or complaining about Samsung/Android all the time. I have a Lexus and a model X, my only complaint about the Lexus is that it won't die because we want to get another Tesla. The Lexus is a well-built and reliable car, but I don't plan on getting another one. I love the navigation system in Tesla, love the acceleration, the quietness, the convenience in charging and speed of charging and price of charging, ease of maintenance (or virtually no maintenance). I've gotten two nails in tires in the past 10 years. Life is not perfect, you can choose to just say "oops" over spilled milk, and cry loudly over it.

With this amount of money, why choose tesla?

By anonymous on 09/02/2023, 05:06 PM EDT
car without a soul. pass.

Tesla is an impressive computer on a mechanically lousy body

JUST WRONG //@anonymous: US Economy is fine, never better in the last 10 years. It's only your misperception. //@Anonymous: Love Teslas, I'd be happy to get one at this price but thanks to the US economy, I'll never be able to afford one now.

Have y’all seen the drag race between Tesla and gas cars with mods? And in the comment the Tesla owners were complaining about that Tesla was stock…. If you are a car enthusiast, don’t go with Tesla. Nothing much you can do…..

By anonymous on 09/02/2023, 11:54 AM EDT
I have tesla and X5, city commute, tesla is the winner. only concern is long distance driving, charging is still not convenient. tesla’s acceleration is impressive.

By anonymous on 09/02/2023, 11:47 AM EDT
Tell us the truth. Haven't you had body repairs to get done - might have been covered by Tesla but still why these repairs? I wasn't talking maintenance cost. I was talking about repairs and reliability.

By anonymous on 09/02/2023, 11:46 AM EDT
Almost no one complained of iPhone quality and reliability. The comparison is very misplaced. I have spoken to several people and I frequently see Tesla being towed on flat bed. Even a flat tire, requires the car to be towed - there are no spare tires. All the owners that up talk Tesla, they say how quick it was to get repairs done. Why does a car need repair in first 3-5 years to begin with? One person said the glass top broke on its own in 15 days. The other said door jamb broke. Comeon this is like cheap korean cars when they came out had this level of reliability issues. The range is lie - everyone knows that. Who enjoys sitting for 30 minutes in target lot charging the car. I didn't.

Why not get a taycan then //@anonymous: I’ll take Lucid any day. Got a Touring two weeks ago, zero regrets. It makes Tesla S look like VW while Lucid is a Porsche.

Where do you charge Lucid on a road trip? //@anonymous: I’ll take Lucid any day. Got a Touring two weeks ago, zero regrets. It makes Tesla S look like VW while Lucid is a Porsche.

I have a Tesla for 3 years now. Maintenance cost is $100 in 3 years. I also own a MDX for 3 years. Maintenance on MDX is much higher. Sounds like you don’t even have any teslas. //@anonymous: Sounded like someone who bought Tesla stock too high and lost some money. I think you could be a happier person once Tesla stock price goes back up high. Tesla as a company has much more to offer. People also complained about iPhones when they first came out. There are MANY Tesla AND Apple haters out there, MOST of them do not own stock in either company. //@Anonymous: What is the reduction amount. Teslas are bad quality and reliability. There’s not a single owner that hasn’t seen needed repairs in first one or two years.

This is the cheapest car out there that will give you the excitement of quarter mile under 10sec even if you have the tools and talent to modify any car out there. Boring is a subjective word //@anonymous: buy a real car, tesla is a joke and so boring, they all look the same for the last 10 years.
