If you think it's too salty, you're using it wrong. It may be just enough salt for a 10 qt pot of boiling water or some such. It is not to sprinkle on top of food. For that there are better options.

Crawfish is in season, go get it from the local Asian store for $6/lb. If you live in the Mississippi Delta you don't need this boil.
