Dude, your personal argument that ignores the scientific fact is nonsense. //@anonymous: Dude, if specs on the paper are trustable, ProjectFarm won't be the most popular tool testing channel at all. //@anonymous: Dude, this Ridgid 18V impact driver delivers 1850 in.lbs torque vs. Milwaukee 12V Fuel Brushless impact driver does 1300 in.lbs torque according to the spec. What is your definition of “more powerful”? //@anonymous: Dude, you know nothing about power tools. These 12v outperformed most of 18v brushed tools. There are many comparison videos on YouTube. //@anonymous: Dude, that is 12V, not 18V. With the same Ah battery, a 12V tool cannot be more powerful than a 18V. //@anonymous: You can buy Milwaukee M12 FUEL 12V Brushless Hammer Drill and Impact Driver Kit from HD for $131 after canceling free battery. Kit has both 2Ah and 4Ah batteries and these tools are much lighter/more compact but more powerful than these Ridgids. Much better choice for DIYers. //@Anonymous: 4Ah is twice heavier than 2Ah. It is also bulky. Why carry such a brick to drill a small hole? //@anonymous: 2Ah battery has 1P structure in which 5 cells connected in series to deliver 18v (3.6Vx5) whereas 4Ah battery has 2P structure in which two 5-cells packs connected in parallel. 4Ah battery doubles ampere capacity of 2Ah battery if they use the same cell. Brushless motors are much more energy efficient and further improve performance. They are also smaller, quieter and require less maintenance but more expensive. //@Anonymous: Why lol? //@anonymous: 2Ah batteries, brushed motor, lol

4Ah battery gives 2x current in use than 2Ah battery so it can double the power output on power hunger tools. Most people only consider capacity difference for run time. //@anonymous: For home users, these drills are fine for light uses. You can drill a 1/2 hole on a 2x4 stud. That is fine. However, if you want to drill a 5/8 hole on a 4x4 stud, it is a little hard work for these drills. The drills depend on motors, not on the battery. 2-4 amps battery is good enough for light use. For light works, getting $299 drill combo is better. Heavy duty drills always have a handle with it, always use it with that handle. //@Anonymous: I just picked mine up and returned the second tool today. Worked with no problem.

I showed the drills to an experienced contractor friend of mine and told him about the comments on Dealsea. He laughed and said these are great drills for the price. And he also said to remember the old adage, “a poor mechanic blames his tools”. //@anonymous: You maybe can not get your full amount of money for return free circular saw, right? On the other hand, why you guys doing this to take advantage of system, at the end of day, no more good deal.

That is right, "these are great drills for the price" means you get what you paid for, totally agree. //@anonymous: I just picked mine up and returned the second tool today. Worked with no problem.

Plumber who I hired brought a pair of Ridgid drill/driver and impact driver. He was so proud of his collection and strongly recommended me the tools. You were just unlucky with your tools. //@anonymous: I initially bought Ridgid drill and impact driver and shortly after found they are way insufficient except being used as screwdrivers. Have to reinvest on other brands. //@anonymous: Go with Markita, Bosch or DeWalt if you want to expand your tool nicer collections. //@Anonymous: Some people like to have more expensive contractor-grade tools in the garage even though they don’t know what to do with them. Others actually get their hands dirty and get things done with really nice tools like these. These are nice tools and a great price. //@anonymous: 2Ah batteries, brushed motor, lol

Not all Makita/Milwaukee/DeWalt tools are good and not all Ridgid/Ryobi tools are bad. Choose wisely and it is really frustrating when you found the tool is no good in the middle of project. //@anonymous: Go with Markita, Bosch or DeWalt if you want to expand your tool nicer collections. //@Anonymous: Some people like to have more expensive contractor-grade tools in the garage even though they don’t know what to do with them.
