Thanks, updated. //@anonymous: Today 1/20/2023: Costco on-line $1949.99 - $350 = $1599.99; In-store might be less?

Cloud storage is 1000x slower than ssd //@anonymous: Think cloud for computing n storage, take a step forward! //@Anonymous: I want one to decorate my Starbucks coffee at Starbucks //@anonymous: what to do with all that m1 pro power when you're limited to 512 of storage. oh right, stream and browse the web.

This is a great laptop. The screen is really bright and contrasty, and it's not noisy like older generation pros. That said, I kind of agree with the comment below about virtualization. I would be running Linux Mint on this thing if it weren't for my need to run XCode. (blech!). I've tried virtualizing OSX in the past, and it's pretty hacky. Not sure if Docker is the solution, but from the GH page, it looks hacky too.

docker, get to know it

//@Anonymous: The moment someone makes a Virtualization app like Parallels for a PC to run MacOS, it is game over for Apple.

After many years of Windows laptop, finally I jumped to M1 pro 14 inch, and what an upgrade, from screen to sound to battery, just you name it. I am getting used to Mac OS, but not too bad. This is the best laptop at this price category if you do not mind switching OS.

Best price so far. If you don’t mind the small screen, this is the one to go.

no, it's not. Only when it is free to you would be good enough. //@Anonymous: Is this a good price for it?
