It worked! Ｉpurchased a $10 eGift card from my Starbucks app by selecting Paypal from the list. It only charged me $5 on my Paypal account.

works. go to your PayPal, claim the offer and go Starbucks account and buy a 10 gift card. choose Paypal to pay (in the drop-down list) . you will see only 5 dollars are deducted from your PayPal account. Done.
