Fat tire bikes can take a beating. If you are a heavier rider (time to get healthy) start with a fat tire bike. It can take bumps, it has low enough gears for you to keep moving, the frame is strong enough to take the beating and when you are done with it, it can still be passed down.

I own this bike. Very good. At this price, there is nothing to compare it to. Yes, I broke a rotor. Yes, I replaced the seat. Yes, it is heavy (48 pounds).

Nothing comes close at this price.

Just one man’s opinion.

No that’s not the point. They are somewhat specialized, but they do have a purpose. However, anyone who rides fat tire bikes for their daily ride doesn’t know what they’re doing. //@anonymous: That’s the point of energy burning. //@anonymous: Just curious why people ride these? Seems too much effort.

Throw an electric mid drive motor in and you got yourself a nice ride.
