got 16tb red pros at $240 at the local pc pusher
have got 16 wd reds (6tb pro and 8tb plus), thats been spinning for almost 4 years non stop, and only one of the 6tb has gone bad.
had several 4tb that went bad....but all brands have years/series that go bad
back in the day i had 120 40gb ibm deskstars that pretty much all went bad within 3-4 months of eachother //@Anonymous: Can't say I've yet seen a listing for a 14TB disc, so I cannot say one way or the other. Doesn't seem terribly unreasonable from that perspective, but.. //@Anonymous: Hard disk prices seem to be going the wrong way.
