These things work GREAT! Only thing I’ve found. Carpenter ants?? Call and exterminator immediately. Those things are nasty. Had them once, and the exterminator got rid of them right away.

You don't need to hire someone for that. You can get the chemicals you need from Home Depot. Then you just spray a barrier around your house and around the edges of the floors inside your house. You should also empty your kitchen cabinets and spray in there too. It takes some time, but it's the only way you can prevent ants in some parts of the country. //@Anonymous: Ants come into our house every spring. I tried every thing and they keep coming back.
