The AirPrint on newer models is awesome. It has saved me a lot of time and is super convenient. //@anonymous: I have one old Brother like this which I bought in 2013, still works really well. Paper feeder stopped working once and it turned out to be an easy fix based on a youtube tip. The only downside of my old one is that it does not support air print from iPhone or iPad. But I am not ready to a new one yet.

I bought similar model for $49 several years ago, still good to use. And third party cartridge is only $10

Brother is the only printer company not playing games with consumers. Unlike HP/Canon/Epson that come with new ways to reap you off, Brother lets you use after market cartridges and their printers work forever.

i have an older version of this printer - bought in 2012. the automatic tray is broken (so i have to hand feed paper) but it's still working "well". i replaced the toner with secondary market one for about 10 bucks a few years ago. //@Anonymous: Does Brother have good customer service? All I can say is Brother MFC printers are awesome. Great quality, function and applications. Never buying another brand!
