There's only a few software packages available for Macs so an M1 CPU should be fine //@Anonymous: Many software / packages there were built for amd64 won't work with M1. //@Anonymous: What problems did you see for M1? No has it's own power cord. I'm using now and loving. But I bough the beefed-up version with 16GB ram and 1TB SSD //@Anonymous: Can this Mac mini be powered by a USB-C ?

I have used m1 for a couple of months without any problem. I can even run windows VM smoothly. Super fast. Like it! //@anonymous: apple M1 has many problems, I suggest wait till they fix their bugs and others software catch up.
