I prefer real and pristine sound from my Sennheiser over headphones with built-in DSPs that WOW the uninformed. I got AKG N5005 here with discount few month ago and I can 100% confirm that they sound way better than my wife's Airpod Max. Lows and mids sound mixed on airpods, whereas IEMs do better job separating the frequencies. Meh built quality as well as meh sound quality. It's just a Beats by Dre on steroids disguised as an apple product. The only good thing about it is how seamlessly it connects to my M1 Max laptop and M1 iPad Pro. Has the best noise canceling feature in the consumer headphones market. And that's all. I want top notch sound quality out of $500 headphones but these can'tprovide that. You wanna flex on people having these? Go for it. You travel a lot? These might be for you, however they are not the most comfortable either. Are you an audiophile? these ain't it.

I'm not anti Apple. I own a 2021 M1 iPad Pro and 2022 MacBook Pro M1 Max with 8tb and 64gb ram. These two machines are freaking BEASTS but Apples headphone game is not it. The main catch of Grado is it’s really uncomfortable… as a wireless headphone sound quality doesn’t really matter that much, comfort is king. Apple sound quality is at least better than Beats but it’s indeed overpriced.
