Included with any Tesla 3/Y is a limited version of FSD that allows you to let the car drive on freeway. Only paid version of FSD can drive in city streets or to summon the car.
The Tesla Y can't be compared to the ID4. You could if you want to, power your house with the Tesla. It's not free and things like that will never be free. Cars in this price range will come with plastic almost everywhere. Look at the Mustang Mach-E, cheap plastic.

Instead of paying for the ridiculous $10k FSD on a new Tesla. Go for a slighty used model close to MSRP which includes FSD.

Keep in mind one is a tech company while the other manufacture cars. Tesla has issue with build quality but VW perfectionist. VW will eventually improve on their tech but never as advance.

Germans totally lost it. $44000 for this pos? Tesla is way better option to choose. $22000 and MAYBE I think about it.

Without a charger network, there is no point buying this

The cheapest RWD model Y is 42k, no negotiation, and self driving is a 10k option. 4wd model starts at 50k. There is no $7500 federal tax incentive for Tesla. The cheapest id4 RWD is $32500 after $7500 federal tax credit, price maybe negotiable in the long run. Right now, if you qualify for federal credit, there is a 10k difference between comparable id4 and model Y models.

Remember every 1st model has many bugs.

I agree with the quiet and smooth drive is same with every electric model. 0-60 will never be an issue with speed limit so low.

VW price will be lower after rebate vs Tesla. But Tesla will come out with a $25k vehicle in the future. I don't expect those numbers to be AWD or 250+ range. My prediction with AWD same range gets you one for $32k otd would work best.

you can't compare vw to a tesla, I looked at the interior in person and it looks much better than cheap cluttering plastics in tesla. I'm not too keen on the drive because every electric drives quite and smooth, I'm not mad about 0-60 times, it should feel good and drive well . Also, i'd rather not pay for FSD, every other brand but tesla is offering it free: VW, Ford, GM. //@Anonymous: Everything sells well in the first month, then people realise they bought a VW for the same price as a Tesla. Kinda like buying a Kia for the same price as a BMW //@anonymous: ID.4 is selling a lot more than Tesla in Europe.

Just give it a couple months, the $7500 is coming back for Tesla now that the Senate is decided //@Anonymous: No, no more federal tax rebates with Tesla //@Anonymous: Tesla also got the $7500?

ID4 doesn't have a heat pump initially in US. Which means, your driving range will drop significantly if you use heater
