But this is better performance wise. Because M2 mac mini likely has the same single module low bandwidth problem with the 256gb version … the only problem with this is not supporting more monitors natively //@anonymous: and the new M2 Chip Mini is $599

If you’re browsing Dealsea for deals, you most likely don’t need an M2 Mac.

For a little more (@699) you can preorder the latest Mac Mini M2 with the same configuration from Apple education ( no need for education proof)

What bluetooth issue? had M1 for 11 month, zero issues.

Bluetooth devices connected so far: air mouse, apple keyboard, bose headphone, non brand name speaker.

Runs smooth, cool and quiet.
//@sza: If you are not aware, the Bluetooth issue still NOT resolved yet.

It is a quiet and smooth mini-pc. I bought one with a top configuration, costing 2k+. It is very enjoyable to use when paired with a 4k 43-inch monitor.

Not really, you can always use ext storage. But cannot improve DDR //@anonymous: 256 seems not enough if doing serious developer job. //@anonymous: 16G memory and 256 HDD is better at the same price.

What monitor goes with it?

Would all non-Apple apps work? //@anonymous: Yes for my work I need 10Gig E. 2018 mac mini that run on the intel chip comes with 10Gig E. This shows that 2018 to 2020 apple downgraded the mac's to cater ipad using crowd not for professionals. //@Anonymous: 10 Gig E on an M1? What are you trying to build, a server farm? //@anonymous: fall for the low profile M1 and be the guinea pig for apple. It is max 16GB RAM, no 10Gig Ethernet, list goes on... Search the internet and you can find why experts say M1 is and "entry level". //@Anonymous: M1 chip seems pretty good. It has better performance than Intel and Apple will stop supporting Intel CPU soon. //@Anonymous: M1 chip kills the deal
