unlocking bootloader is not hard, but you need to be prepared to not able to use it as a phone any more if bad things happened. worst you can still install linux on it though //@Anonymous: I looked into it, this has a bootloader lock too, so you can't even root it. Unless you use tracfone, this is pretty useless.
