Lolz //@anonymous: I bought mine a few years back when Verizon was selling them for $160. But given the inflation, $160 from back then was equivalent to $298 nowadays. LOL

I did that too. I believe paying close to one grand must be categorized as a scalper but I did bought my from Newegg market place. So in my case it’s $899 plus taxes. //@anonymous: I just bought a PS5 for $900 from a scalper. Not so sure I made the right decision now.

If you are in no rush, then wait to get the X version. With $200 extra, you get double storage, way more powerful graphic processing power, and the ability to play game from hard copy. The ability to play game from hard copy is the selling point for me, because I can buy cheap used game, or sale my game after I am done. //@anonymous: Still waiting on the Atari 2700. I said if you already have a PC... //@anonymous: Have u seen PC component prices lately? Any comparable GPU goes for over $500 and a comparable CPU is almost $350. Add in RAM, PS, SSD, case, controller and you're at $1200 for a comparable PC //@Anonymous: There’s now literally little value in buying an Xbox IF you have a very good gaming PC. Most if not all Xbox (and non exclusive PS) titles will go to PC per Microsoft’s Phil Spencer. Even PlayStation is slowly starting to go that route; the value of that PS5 hardware is now questionable with its PS NOW going to PC with 90% Sony exclusives being there already and most will appear some day.

Long story short, if you have a PC, you’ll still be in business without any console whatsoever. Xbox is almost redundant in that case, but PlayStation may still hold value as your single console for couch gaming.

Just my opinion.

Because dealsea posts those links people would have a chance to grab one and beat the bots/scalpers. I know it's a tricky and tedious experience, I got my xbox series x on 3rd attempt and ps5 on 5th try, but I did it and thank OP so I don't have to even consider paying double or triple from those scalpers, or wait it out for few more months until sometime next year. Unfortunately, this is the way to fight the bots now, and stop scalping. //@Anonymous: Why even post these deals when these consoles are sold out to Bots within seconds? I highly doubt Sony and Microsoft's consoles will meet the demand for the foreseeable future (I am guessing another 2-3 years). Think about it, even the relatively low powered Nintendo Switch console that was released more than 2 years ago (I think?) is sold out almost everywhere today.

and also last gen consoles are still being sold for $299 for base, and $399 for Pro/X. i think you prediction are accurate. //@Anonymous: Why even post these deals when these consoles are sold out to Bots within seconds? Got one from Wal mart. I want Xbox Series X one but seem like it's not available and not letting me add to cart. But I was able to purchase the Xbox Series S from Wal-mart.

Ship date is Jan 12 tho.

Kudos for that attitude. Being generous is a big part of Thanksgiving. I was able to nab the Xbox Series X through the wait and try again minute by minute release cycle. Great job Best Buy! //@anonymous: Pass this year too. I'd rather save and put food on the table or someone else's.

Well done Best Buy on the Xbox sale. Take notice Walmart. That is how to sell a hot new item. #walmartsucks

I guess you never had a mac. //@anonymous: Here is what you will need to do to replace a Xbox hard drive with something bigger and fast.
"In order to reach the hard drive, you’ll have to rip apart the case, remove the console speaker and WiFi board, then unscrew and remove the chassis. From there, you’ll have access to the Blu-ray drive and the hard drive"

When I replacing my PS3 and PS4 hard drive, it was so freakin easy. 2 screws on PS3, 1 screw on PS4, then just pull it out directly from bay

Who cares. Don’t buy one, get yourself 3 PS5 and go comment on their links //@anonymous: Replacing a PS3 or PS4 hard drive is so easy that you only need to take out 1 or 2 screws. Replacing a Xbox hard drive or doing any upgrade is so difficult. I just don't like the way they design it and made it so freakin hard to made any future hardware changes. Maybe want to try last of us 1 and 2 also. I only play single player games so playstation is a must for me, just for the exclusives. Oh and Bloodborne, even though it's older it's still my favorite game on the platform //@anonymous: I've used Xbox since 2007. But I may check out PS5 once I get tired of my Xbox One (I think I have a good year or more before that happens). I want to play through the God of War series pretty badly. Huh? //@anonymous: Go for PS5. Xbox designers made it impossible for owner to make any DIY upgrades. Xobox also have a very complicated and shitty user interface. Sony designed their systems more user friendl both hardware and software.

Agreed, I have an Xbox one, and I have no substantial issues with the ux, I do find it annoying when I try to prioritize the order of my downloads, but its a minor and occasional annoyance. I have t used a PS in 15+ years, but the Xbox ui is fine. //@anonymous: If you think Xbox UI is complicated, I don't really know what to say. It's quite customizable and most of the important functions are in the guide button by just holding it down. PS4's UI is so primitive and lacks functionalities. //@Anonymous: Go for PS5.
