4a has worse processor and cut back on some other features (no water proof, no wireless charging, 60Hz vs 90Hz and so on). However unless you are heavily into gaming with your phone, chances are you won't notice the difference. 4a is actually better for me personally because it's 1) smaller, 2) has a 3.5mm jack, and 3) HECK of a lot cheaper. //@Anonymous: why 4a is much cheaper than 4? I never use anything other than iphone. thinking about switch to pixel. any advice everyone?

Subjective. Better camera, much slower processor. Battery life about the same. Pretty much if you are in the apple ecosystem, stick with SE. If you are in android, this is a good phone. //@Anonymous: better than iPhone SE 2020.
