No mask can stop bacteria and viruses and that is not the purpose of wearing masks in the present scenario. What they stop is the spread of micro droplets of saliva that comes out of our mouth when we talk and breathe. These droplets contain viruses that could be stopped by wearing practically any barrier. I am a virologist and currently work with communicable viruses such as COV19 and have also worked with influenza and Hantaviruses. //@anonymous: so they let you into costco :) //@Anonymous: The description states they are non-medical and do not prevent transmission of viruses and bacteria. Why would someone buy these?
