Disagreed. Every other country except the U.S has been using face masks to stop spreading the virus to others. Not just China. //@Anonymous: This why USA has the most infected patients. Before the outbreak, it was between $3 to $8 a box depending on which level of mask you got. It makes me sick that people try to make a huge profit from this pandemic.

Because international travel was purposely not banned during outbreak. Between outbreak and USA travel ban on Feb 1st, half million people entered USA from mainland via airplanes //@anonymous: This why USA has the most infected patients. It's funny how Amazon started banning those sellers gouging prices and now they are the one doing it. Once it's sold out, they remove the pages and create new ones.

fact 2:
machine about $30,000/product-line vs $90,000/line
fact 3:
ship to US via container before, average shipping cost is about $0.001 per mask;
ship to US by air now, average shipping cost is about $0.07 per mask.

Not to mention amazon charge 15% commission, shipping to you cost another $5, and labor, warehouse, ....

So, if sellers get punished for this so-called price-gauging, there will be no more mask on market at all.

BTW, there is a middle layer in this mask made by meltblown cloth, which is much effective than your DIY mask. Do some research yourself.

I bought the blue one last time from amazon.

This is not a wired description, these type masks will not help to prevent you getting infection by other people, it is only helping people who was already sick are not spreading their virus to the others.

I have stopped using Amazon unless price is significantly lower than other vendors. Amazon got messier as it got bigger over the years.
