The government just doesn't want to create another panic response from the public knowing that we don't have enough masks for the public. Ask yourself this question -- would you trust a surgeon without a mask to perform surgery on you? //@Anonymous: Firstly BK is NOT street food, they do not serve on stands on the streets.

Secondly, masks don't help a lot unless you are looking for a false sense of security.

If you are sick, stay home - period. Can't hold yourself from getting others sick? Please consider visiting grandma's first, and then by all means..

If you are not sick, stay home or outdoor open areas with distancing. Can't get any simpler than that.

I wear masks when I go out. It does help a lot and I see some people coughing and snzezing in the grocery stores.
It does not make any sense that the government has been telling people masks do not help. They just simply do not have enough for everyone and try to make people not start a riot. Ignorance helps with the spread of the virus.

Wear masks when you go out if you have any. //@Anonymous: Seriously, have they started wearing masks? It is a simple act you should strictly practice if you are in food retail industry. I was in mc and sub last Saturday and no one was wearing a mask!~!

Mask will help you from passing virus to others! It greatly reduce the chance for you, if you are infected, to pass your virus to other people who don't wanna get sick //@anonymous: Masks don't help //@Anonymous: Seriously, have they started wearing masks? I do not understand why mask won’t help from beginning.
Why? You put something there it will block something, which is a help.
You feel cold you put on a piece of leave it helps. although it might be as good as a Northface, it still deserve the word help.
Of course, we should save masks for the medical personal.

//@anonymous: You can find hundreds of articles say otherwise. If you Google you can always find something to support your argument. Nobody says it works 100% every time, or will it be as effective as N95. But it definitely helps. //@Anonymous: I assume that you are not talking about n95 respatrators. But the simple fact is: surgical masks don't help: https://www.livescience.com/face-mask-new-coronavirus.html

There are dozens are articles on the subject, most refer to the CDC guidance, feel free to google it yourself. //@Anonymous: It helps; this is simlple physical fact. //@anonymous: Masks don't help //@Anonymous: Seriously, have they started wearing masks? Masks do help prevent a sick person from spreading their germs to others. What you might be thinking about is that masks don't prevent you from catching a disease from others unless it is a n95 mask, and even then it is not a guarantee. //@Anonymous: Masks don't help //@Anonymous: Seriously, have they started wearing masks?
