And here I am looking for a minivan deal to fit my family.

if you really are rich, not fake, go Cadillac. //@Anonymous: Had an iPhone in 07. It was awesome. Have a Tesla now and put 18k miles on it in 6mo. Still awesome.

Try it before judging. And try not to let your biases cloud your judgement. Remember to add in you annual fuel cost when doing the math. Electricity is cheap in comparison. We drive a lot and gas is crazy expensive here in CA. It was a no brainer. //@anonymous: Buying electric cars now just like people bought iPhones in 2007. It's not ready for the prime time yet.

I agree - EV are close, but still not for the masses, if you judging only on $ ROI. But if you aspire to help shaping humanity's future during your short stay with that lot, there are some pieces of history you want to be part of, and be inspired. I am like the reader before, iphone in 07 and a Tesla model S now. Not born with money, but learned quickly that just saving, being employed, and following what everyone does, is not how you live an interesting life - by my standards. Anyway - Bolt is a fine car, yes a bit small, but the price is great and if this is the second car in the family, it can be a great buy. //@Anonymous: Had an iPhone in 07. It was awesome. when Tesla burns you won't be able to escape:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XB2LFtAMaFc //@Anonymous: Go Tesla Model 3 if your company offers free charge, very common in CA. It's a no brainer.

only tesla burns itself //@Anonymous: Go Tesla Model 3 if your company offers free charge, very common in CA. It's a no brainer.

True..I did same study and gone to Clarity PHEV. //@Anonymous: Yes, after tax credit, all rebates. Honda Clarity will be around $20-22K.
Test drive both, you feel the differences in terms of the size and interior material.
Plus plugin hybird still can be used to drive long distance (say above 300 miles) in the vacation. //@Anonymous: BOLT is just too small. If the whole dimension (Length, width, and height) is 10% larger, even with less mileage for a fully charged, say 180-200 miles, I would go with that for $30-35K out of my pocket.

Now, I am going with Honda Clarity. It's not 100% EV, it is a plugin with 47 miles EV range. I can get $7500 tax credit, and $1K CA rebate. It is a much larger and nicer interior.

Check the Bolt's interior dimensions you know it's decently large among ev cars. Its cargo volume is impressive too.

Technology takes time to mature. In its early stages the cost is high and the service level is low. Thanks to many volunteers who put their own hard earned cash to help the industry reaching a more serviceable level. We saw that in the 2005 Toyota Prius. Tesla is still fighting for its questionable autopilot and the cost could be couple more lives. If people are comfortable to use the technology at their own risk and at a higher cost, I can not stop them. I’m just not into that way. //@anonymous: And you know this because you own one or because it's your non-expert opinion, i.e. complete speculation? //@Anonymous: Buying electric cars now just like people bought iPhones in 2007. Need to be aware: you have to owe $7,500 in taxes to get $7,500. If you only owe $1,000 you only get $1,000.//@anonymous: BOLT is just too small. Heard they are pulling it back to make enhancements, and hence no 2020 model? Not sure how true it is. I was told be a dealer may be he was trying to cover up his lack of inventory!! //@Anonymous: BOLT is just too small. You could google it, but msrp is 27,900, and it's far better equipped, better safety, bigger, etc //@anonymous: I would not buy Bolt, I will buy Volt.

~$28000 final price is what I got

I just tried my state in MD, $8500 rebates.

By anonymous on 01/17/2020, 07:07 PM EST
I don't see anything about the 8,500 or the other deals. Just 0% financing.

- $4K to $7K Price Reduction?
I don't see it.
