Newcomers: stop calling. It's that simple: you do not have to activate the membership today, you are going to activate the link amazon sends whenever your prime membership expires. As a matter of fact, you can buy multiple year memberships, save them in a folder and then activate one by one every year. This way you would save money because the membership keeps on increasing.
