IPS is great. Freesync makes it even better. 1080p isn't bad if in the right place. The problem here is pairing a 27" monitor (not TV) with 1080p -- that just sucks. Not saying it won't work or hurt you, but it sucks. A 21" w. 1080p is fine, 24" maybe, but 27" w 1080p just isn't the right combination.

Agree, judging the monitor just by its resolution is not right. this one has decent resolution and it is a great price. //@Anonymous: Do you really know what you are talking about? This monitor is an IPS panel, and has free sync, 75Hz plus 178 degree view angles. Why is this a garbage? //@Anonymous: Garbage. 1080p resolution is 20 year old tech.
