That is not true. ANC level can be adjusted on I too. You need to use your phone to adjust it though. //@Anonymous: NO. II is better, but more expensive. //@Anonymous: Is ANC(active noise canceling) same for both 35i and 35ii?
35ii can switch the levels, but 35i can't?

I am using version 1 from last 2 years and I dint have any connectivity issues so far and 199$ for version 1 is heck of a deal. Bose is way much better and comfortable then beats headphone. But its always personal preference. Try both and keep the one which you like. //@Anonymous: there is some issue with connectivity on version I of this series.. buyer be aware
