you could use your credit card to pay for these gift cards, so if you use cards that give you 2-2.5% rewards back, then the total you really pay for $100 is $92.63-$93.10. //@Anonymous: No deal..even my credit card give me 5% cash back. Very hard to manage these gift cards.

Last quarter was Chase's 5% on paypal. These guys probably made millions selling of exxon/sunoco gift cards. So evidently they became greedier and targeting for more millions.
