And by "moderate", I meant the retailer does NOT post critical reviews! //@anonymous: Because the retailer moderates the critical reviews. Just happened to me last week when I tried to post a one star review on JCPenney.com (the retailer where I purchased my Samsung washer and drier). The dryer broke after only two years of use. Samsung customer service was polite but kept me on the phone half of hour trying to troubleshoot, only to let me know at the end that the product is out of warranty and I would have to pay for someone to come and fix it and just the estimate alone was a hundred bucks. For a major appliance that you expect to last 5-10 years... //@Anonymous: Then, how come they got 4.5/5 for review?
That's strange.

Stop bashing import products. LG and Samsung make much better laundry machines than any US brand. If you have extra time, spend more on improving these domestic products. //@Anonymous: Avoid Samsung and LG, get Whirlpool or Maytag instead. Even Kenmore is better.

Samsung washer stinks and has to be drained frequently. Won't spin and time out with large loads. I brought whirlpool for new house and it is much better.

bought Kenmore basic washer and dryer together for $700 from Sears. They are working without an issue for 3 years.

pointless //@anonymous: And Sears went out of business //@Anonymous: Sears technician told me Samsung washers are low quality, persuade me to avoid Samsung appliances.

Samsung is bad quality. My dryer stopped working at five years. Changing parts costed two hundred, and it broken again three years later. I will not lbuy Samsung dryer.

Hi dealsea, could you provide Amazon/bestbuy price for comparison. I guess they are never sold at MSRP so showing ori 999 is pointless

I have them. They are definitely not reliable as the old Kenmore or GE. However, nowadays they are all built to last only 5~10 years.
My suggestion is to avoid Samsung.

How is the quality? Anyone owns them?
