maybe because you machine washed it? the inner pot has to be hand washed with a sponge. I have one but I don't think it is worth the price. It works just as same as the $20 one. //@Anonymous: The Inner Cooking Pan will peel off after 1-2 years. Don't buy.

3 cups are just enough for my dogs and cats to eat. //@anonymous: It's just rice. You can cook it in a cheap pot on the stove. Don't buy.
