Second that - I was explicitly told by hotel reservation people that booking through Expedia doesn't guarantee you anything. Contact hotel or airline directly.

Similar experience. Expedia cannot solve the problem. I paid the extra. //@Anonymous: Do not trust expedia: hotel did not honor their reservations and charge me twice the price.
