Maybe you're not familiar with FISA but it is specifically and narrowly for surveillance of people suspected of terrorism or espionage -- not normal people. Chin.a's spying on the other hand covers anyone and everyone -- whoever they randomly decide to snoop on. //@anonymous: what makes anyone think that buying a US smartphone will not expose themselves to US govt? It is just being exposed that US has a secret court to approve FBI's surveilance request, even to a US President?

Duh, well known. And not nearly as bad as chin.a's espionage program. The difference is that chin.a doesn't have freedom of press so the dirty details yet hidden. Journalists don't go to jail in the US for reporting on Snowden, but they would go to jail for the same thing in chin.a. //@anonymous: what makes anyone think that buying a US smartphone will not expose themselves to US govt?
