Plus, I want to add, I never had issues with Columbia quality. And I also buy their merchandise for my kids. Their clothing is slim fit though, so if you're not fit and need to buy a larger size than it's meant to, it'll not work as well.

Columbia works. I live in WA and everybody in the PNW wears Columbia. Not Marmot, Patagonia or the North Face. Had my TNF boots disintegrate on Mt. Rainier this summer, the paths were still under the snow, but asphalt was hot as a stove, the soles fell off. Never had any Columbia wear disintegrate. This stuff is for East Coasters to show off on their commuter train, not for real wear.

I don't know what the big deal about Columbia is. I stopped buying them since college. Simply not good quality. I'll save my money for a Marmot or Patagonia.
