Don't want to wait for 10mins to make a cup of tea. Also, many houses have water softener, hot water is not drinkable. If you flush your water heater at least once, you don't want to drink hot water from your faucet.

Mine is good for 15 years,it just look old //@anonymous: Rusted inside after only one year. Switched back to panasonic, never rust. //@anonymous: change every two years because it's rusting inside even after using their cleaning packs.
