WD easystore 4TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive

I have the 8TB version, $139 when I got it. It's fantastic. I'd agree with the previous poster tho, if you only need 4TB get the Passport model. No powersupply, much smaller.

Anyhow, why get this instead of the portable 4tb version, which was only $80

Actually Seagate , Hitachi, Samsung are the worst..Had them before and all failed. Haven't had issue with Wd. Seagate had major quality issues in the past 3 years, even their enterprise level disks. //@anonymous: Why always WD Drives? Not Seagate or other brands? WD's quality is the worst among all brands.
