I have been loyal consumer of thinkpad until I bought their x301. Very very slow, battery was dead 6 months later. Build quality was good though, but runs very very slow.

thinkpad is a much better brand and you can easily upgrade X1's ssd and memory. //@Anonymous: i like thinkpad x1 carbon, but doesn't the asus zenbook UX430UN deal posted on dealsea (https://dealsea.com/view-deal/1047284) outclasses this in every spec and price?
that one is
i7-8550u (4 cores)

gpu 2gb
$1000
