Buy from Georgia Power Marketplace for $44.50. Not sure if it works for non-Georgia residents.

Make sure you don't buy a car with GPS or ever connect your phone to your car as your car could be hacked that way too. //@anonymous: WiFi can be hacked.

This great deal for basic on/off thru wifi. I bought this for 3 story condo 4 yrs ago for $150. Have yet to use the schedule. Useful for turn on/off in middle of night or on way home hot days. Never really need all the fancy sensors. Serve its purpose. Got $175 electric/gas credit also

How it help save energy? I can only imagine a thermostat to stay on longer inorder to satisfy a remote sensor and thereby increase the energy bill.. //@anonymous: yes, the remote sensor is actually the key to save energy and heat/cool your room efficiently. I have no idea why most manufactures do not support that. //@Anonymous: Ecobee has extra sensors, which can help the intelligence. Ecobee is also Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and Google friendly. //@Anonymous: Nest is so expensive. //@Anonymous: Get Nest

There are many old houses. Changing the design would cost too much. Remote sensor is the best solution for existing situation. For new houses, of course you'd be better to have separate control for each zone/room. //@Anonymous: Remote sensors or fancy thermostats are all useless unless you actually have individual zone/ air flow control.
