Keep in mind that you will need to pay to get Windows 10 support (security updates etc) soon. Computers at Dell refurbished are used business computers and come with older operating system and hardware.

Don't worry about the operation system. you can update to win 11 for free. Yes, it is old hardware but good enough for regular use. The concern is that the original price is ridiculous, so you need to figure out what is a real good price. //@Anonymous: Keep in mind that you will need to pay to get Windows 10 support (security updates etc) soon. Many old Dell computers are not eligible for Win 11 upgrade. I assume these computers are not.

why this is a deal?

why not? it has the latest CPU, decent amount of ram and SSD, plus 1TB for data storage. Even an optical driver which is rare these days. All these means it will last you 10. years as a family server. Only slight issue is that there are only 2 slots for ram, so if you want to expand to 64GB or more, it would be expensive to do. //@Anonymous: why this is a deal?

This one doesn't have optical drive. Costco has a similar system for $450 (8G RAM, no HDD), a better deal if you don't need HDD. 8GB RAM is like $20 //@anonymous: why not? it has the latest CPU, decent amount of ram and SSD, plus 1TB for data storage.
