Judging from the "hood" it has, this monitor is likely for "professinal" use (I am sure you could tell more by looking at its detailed specs). You may see such "hooded" monitors at profesional photographing or movie shooting. Many years ago, used to see Eizo monitors with this kind of hood with steep price tag (not sure if Eizo is still a thing today) //@Anonymous: why is this so expensive? is this a TV? or just a monitor?
