If you drive at countryside where there is no data coverage. Garmins business is actually not impacted very much by smart phone mainly because of their built-in GPS business with car manufacturer //@Anonymous: Anyone still uses GPS now?

yes people still use GPS units. I have a 1hr commute and I don't even have to touch the unit to get live traffic.. convenient. To be fair Google has better traffic routing. Last month I-95 was shut down. Garmin routed me into the main side roads that were congested. Google brought me through neiborhood roads with no stoppage.

Phone GPS is still a joke compared with GPS fast response, and reliable service //@Anonymous: Very much, still use my 4 yr old garmin, phone not reliable and baterry drains fast //@anonymous: Anyone still uses GPS now?

Phone gps no doubt is getting better or already is but sometime on long drives a dedicated gps on a windshield works out better- set it and forget it.
