I have experience with 4 external HDD (from 3TB to 8TB). The only one that failed within a year was a Seagate. The other three WD are still working fine after 5+ years.

Cheap eyedrop preservatives are TERRIBLE for your eyes. Benzalkonium chloride (BAK) wrecks your eyeballs!

Single-use vials are best, but I think Systane (and others) have the quality preservatives that aren't bad. //@dumplingjw: Does it work for seasonal allergy?
