It's not a lot of money for an pre-built, however, I wouldn't think most would be happy with that small a solid-state drive, or with only 8G of RAM. If you're only doing light financial stuff, maybe, but if you wanted to do ANYTHING with video or audio or even moderate gaming, this could hold you back. //@Anonymous: good deal? i need a general purpose desktop...

Thanks! I'm not set on HP either. Can you recommend a good $500-ish system for basic usage, with very limited video or gaming use? //@Anonymous: It's not a lot of money for an pre-built, however, I wouldn't think most would be happy with that small a solid-state drive, or with only 8G of RAM. Give it a $50, add a 8g ddr4. This is perfect for 1080p gaming. Don't look down on 580, I'm using a rx480 now and I ultra setting running smooth on 2k, for games like AC odyssey and BF V. rx580 is far than enough for light gamers, especially when you use a ips monitor, which means the max fresh rate is usally 60hz //@Anonymous: It's not a lot of money for an pre-built, however, I wouldn't think most would be happy with that small a solid-state drive, or with only 8G of RAM.
