It all boils down what's your budget. TN has faster response time and it's cheaper; it's fine for everyday computer use and gaming. Choose IPS if you care about the viewing angle and color reproduction, and most of all have money to spend. Google LCD technologies (specifically in TN and IPS) for more details. //@Anonymous: Could you please write more about it? I am interested in this monitor but I don't know what's the problem. TN is no necessarily bad, fast response, easy in eyes. The downside is viewing angle. But not everyone need wide viewing angle. Some people intentionally don’t want a lot of people to see his screen

Never had any issues with Lenovo or Dell or HP. As long as you avoid Acer you will be fine. //@anonymous: Have not need to contact Dell support for years now. But for sure have bad experience with Lenovo. //@Anonymous: If you have problems, I wish you good luck dealing with Dell!
