it’s a common practice by Dell to cancel order when they feel like punishing the customers for their error

Damn Dell. They cancelled the order. Only said the price was wrong!

I guess that they used the low price to avoid the import tax. Shame on DELL.....

DELL doesn't have the most basic respect for their customers. They can cancel your order without even feeling sorry for it. I will never buy from DELL.

they confirmed the order, rescheduled the delivery and then canceled your order by saying "i'm sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused".
they don't think they trouble you at all so their apology is not made. actually, they broke the contract and it is illegal after the order is confirmed. //@Anonymous: DELL doesn't have the most basic respect for their customers. I found dell was different among retailers since years ago. They are not only canceling orders with the excuse of wrong promotions, but also they have very very bad customer service after purchase. I will never ever make any purchase from dell. //@anonymous: Dell does not do honest business

does it have to be $50 per item or per transaction? Would it apply to a purchase of, let's say, 2 items which cost $30 each?

You need to activate the offer before you can get more than 1%. They usually post those offer on the main page on ebay. I don't believe people see different ebay main page, so I think the offer should be for everybody. //@Anonymous: I have only been 1%, but I was member with ebay since 2001. How do I fix it?

I have done that, but I got a lot of advertise emails. I also noticed if I stopped shopping with eBay for at least six months, they started send out coupons. //@Anonymous: You need to activate the offer before you can get more than 1%.
