Or maybe this much money I can build a real treehouse? I (my kids) love Legos but some of these sets are way too expensive. //@Anonymous: Am I the only one feels these are expensive? Even for an adult?

Yes, it has gotten more expensive but they continue to be popular. With the pandemic, more people are at home so this is something that they can do with their kids (or even for their own sanity). Supply and demand. Wishing for it to be cheaper wouldn't make a difference. //@Anonymous: no they are expensive =/ feel the price has gotten worse last few years too //@Anonymous: Or maybe this much money I can build a real treehouse? We own this set, and it is amazing in both construction and detail. Many LEGO sets cost around 10 cents per pieceā¦ this set is now around half that cost. Absolutely a deal.

Buying this kit to build tree house, worthless. Building this tree house with basic Lego pieces, priceless.

I would rather prefer the lego space shuttle, which is at the same price of the tree house.

If it is impossible to achieve in reality, it is also good to achieve it in another way.

Why are these so expensive? It is essentially a printer.

Market share? Fewer people buy these, I assume, which means lower demand to defray overhead. Also, I suspect the ink/toner is of a different, more expensive composition to account for the use, and the mechanisms must handle heavier media. Kind of makes sense to me, though I am no expert in ANY OF THESE FIELDS... //@Anonymous: Why are these so expensive? It is essentially a printer.

all label printers use thermal transfer technology, no ink/toner consumption at all, the thermal transfer has the advantage of low consumable cost and fast printing, but the downside is considerably low printing resolution. And the thermal mechanism dominated most of its cost. This dual printer model should be used in a fast pace environment like takeout counter to double printer efficiency and at this price point, this one is unbeatable //@Anonymous: Market share? NO, I'm sorry to say, UPS shipping label is 4*6" and this model doesn't support that size //@anonymous: can I print a USPS shipping label with this? is the barcode good enough for USPS to read?
