After 10+ years with iPhones I switched to Pixel 3 about 3 months ago. OMG! I love this phone so much. The pictures it takes! I don't bring my DSLR any more and everyone asks me what camera I use. The phone is super fast and has more flexibility than the iPhone. Love it!

Can I cancel the service after activation with no penalty?

Nope you can’t

What does unlocked mean then? Dealsea should clarify //@anonymous: Nope you can’t
6 years ago |
dealsea.com
Unlocked means this device is not locked to one specific service provider, you can use it with any one you like. Best Buy is giving this discount with the requirement activating it through BestBuy so that they can get some commission back. This is good for those who want to add a new line, not good for those who just want to replace their old ones.

If you activate on your existing carrier (add a new number on existing account), you can cancel the new number anytime after activation. There's no service term commitment. The only penalty is the activation fee, and you keep the phone.

Thanks. How much will the activation fee cost? Does it mean activation plus one month Verizon bill? Or activation only and then i can use the phone on whichever carrier? Thanks //@anonymous: If you activate on your existing carrier (add a new number on existing account), you can cancel the new number anytime after activation. There's no service term commitment. Verizon charges a one-time $40 activation fee. The phone is unlocked, meaning you can use it on any carriers. //@anonymous: Thanks. How much will the activation fee cost?
