Why does Lenovo always not have HDMI port?

I got the one with 8Gb ram, $399. Pretty happy with it. One feature I really like is that it can be powered just by one usb-c cable connected to my usb-c monitor.

It comes with an USB-C to HDMI adapter. By the way, DP gives higher quality image than HDMI especially comes to 4K or above. //@Anonymous: Why does Lenovo always not have HDMI port?

Definitely this is a deal.
Soldered RAM, you don't want to buy for today, you choose what you wish would have had in 3 years.

They don’t put the HDMI port to avoid paying the licensing fee to the HDMI consortium.

This argument makes no sense. The license fee ranges from 4 to 15 cents per device. //@Anonymous: They don’t put the HDMI port to avoid paying the licensing fee to the HDMI consortium.

Lenovo always takes shortcuts that end up hurting the consumer. Do your research before buying any Lenovo. //@Anonymous: This argument makes no sense. Don't listen to those tweets, they constantly post the same bs on every lenovo thread because the brand is popular and reliable unlike the brands they want to peddle. This is a good deal and the computer is solid. //@anonymous: Recommendation please! //@anonymous: Lenovo always takes shortcuts that end up hurting the consumer. Why are Lenovos always so overpriced these days? The quality isn't that high, and they're nowhere near as desirable as an Apple. //@Anonymous: Steep for 8GB and 256GB SSD, pass.

If you think you can get an Apple for these specs at even close to these prices you must have some brain problems. //@Anonymous: Why are Lenovos always so overpriced these days? I am not quite sure about the newer models but older model thinkpads rock and no laptop can match their quality of keyboard and durability. I still have one of them from 2012 and still works like a charm. //@Anonymous: Why are Lenovos always so overpriced these days? Though I would pay a little more for the quality and weight of the X1 carbon but the ram and cpu still doesn't justify the price
