Uber has had gift cards promotion quite a few times lately. Two days ago, I needed to go to LAX. The quote I got from Uber is 25%-30% higher than Lyft. I took Lyft eventually. I saw somebody posted that Uber will hike the quote if you have gift card in your account. Not sure if this is provable, but just want the crowd to watch for this.
