I've been searching a couple times everyday to see if someone has in stock at the retail price, and what do you know I'm checking Dealsea and here it is. Thanks! been visiting this site since 2005.

Why isn't this thing cheaper than Quest which has its own CPU&GPU&etc?

Anonymous

Because they have to pay Sony royalties and Lenovo to build this thing instead of directly making their own product (like they do with the Quest) //@Anonymous: Why isn't this thing cheaper than Quest which has its own CPU&GPU&etc?

Don't buy the Occulus. It's a Facebook product and requires Facebook account. Facebook will sell your data. Get the Vive.

How so ? I read it as having better resolution and no extra sensors on the side to setup, I havr the Rift and was thinking of "upgrading" please specify how its a downgrade //@anonymous: This thing is a downgrade from the old Rift.

You know most people just create a dummy account. //@Anonymous: Don't buy the Occulus. It's a Facebook product and requires Facebook account. Facebook will sell your data. Get the Vive.

your real data, even though under a dummy account, will be sold to the world. they know ur bio metrics of eyes, and many other things. //@Anonymous: You know most people just create a dummy account. //@Anonymous: Don't buy the Occulus. Hmm, I just think that if you are OK with a FB product, the Quest 2 would be a smarter choice. It's got the standalone capability, and you can use it for PC VR too.

Quest 2 has cameras looking outwardly and the Rift S has cameras looking at you. No privacy!

Anonymous

why would anyone PAY to have Facebook steal all your biometric data? they should be paying you instead! Don't give up your privacy!
