Diameter should all be the same. Only length is different. 5xl is limited to official dymo labels. 4xl can use other companies. Therefore many prefer the 4xl. //@anonymous: 5xl is better and same price

5xl labels are very expensive. You cant use aftermarket labels with it, Dont buy it unless you only plan on printing 1 label per year.
